The Board of Directors of Vontobel Holding AG will propose to the General Meeting of Shareholders that Marcel Zoller be newly elected as a Member of the company's Board of Directors. He is to replace Pierin Vincenz, who currently represents Raiffeisen Switzerland on the Board of Directors of Vontobel Holding AG.

Raiffeisen Switzerland has nominated Marcel Zoller as the successor to Pierin Vincenz on the Board of Directors of Vontobel Holding AG. Consequently, the Board of Directors of Vontobel Holding AG will propose to the General Meeting of Shareholders on 24 April 2012 that Marcel Zoller be appointed as the new Raiffeisen representative, thus fulfilling the obligations arising from their cooperation and participation agreement. Marcel Zoller, who has been a member of the Executive Board and CFO of Raiffeisen Switzerland since 2008, is a Swiss certified banking specialist and has extensive knowledge and experience of the Swiss financial sector.

"I wish to thank Pierin Vincenz for his longstanding commitment as a member of the Board of Directors of Vontobel Holding AG. The decision not to stand for re-election reflects the interests of both Raiffeisen and Vontobel in pursuing their existing cooperation according to good corporate governance practices. Both parties believe that their cooperation agreement, which was recently extended to 2017, offers considerable synergy potential," commented Herbert J. Scheidt, Chairman of the Board of Directors. He added: "Marcel Zoller is an experienced financial expert and is thus being proposed to our shareholders as a worthy successor to Pierin Vincenz."
