Vontobel to relocate to new offices in the centre of Geneva
The Vontobel Group, which is headquartered in Zurich, is to relocate its Geneva offices to new premises at Rue du Rhône 31 at the end of 2012. The move to the new representative offices at a prime location in the city underscores the strategic importance of the French-speaking part of Switzerland for Vontobel and reflects its ambition to acquire new clients and to thus grow its business activities in the region.
The offices that will accommodate around 60 Vontobel employees from the three business units Private Banking, Asset Management and Investment Banking in the future are located in the heart of Geneva, close to the lake. According to Zeno Staub, CEO of the Vontobel Group, the bank's new premises are an expression of its strong commitment to the region: "Switzerland, including the French-speaking part of our country, is and will remain our most important market. Furthermore, Geneva is a globally renowned and very well positioned financial centre with an international clientele that we want to serve." Jean-Pierre de Glutz, Head of the Geneva branch, added: "We will gradually extend our activities in Geneva and develop them substantially. Our focus will be on the needs of both private and institutional clients and we will strive to generate added value for them based on our integrated model."
